Shapes in the Sand
Shapes in the Sand is an Australian eco conscious swimwear label, born out of a life long infatuation with nature and a heart yearning to help restore the environment. Shapes in the Sand is the embodiment of a love for the natural world through drawing inspiration from nature and the diversity within it. All Shapes in the Sand swimwear is responsibly made in Australia. Using sustainable fabrications, each process involved in the creations of collections is done with people and the planet in mind. Using sustainable fabrications on the inside and out, in 2019 Shapes in the Sand introduced an industry first plant-based swimwear fabric made from the castor bean, a totally renewable resource.

Bonus Points
Each season, Shapes in the Sand donates to a chosen environmental organisation from the sale of each swimsuit. This is part of what the label is built on; helping to protect the natural world.
Off cuts from their collections are used to create other products that include headwraps and scrunchies. They have a zero waste approach and are always looking for new ways to improve. Recently they repurposed their signature Scribbly Gum print (originally the print was designed to help fund a koala care facility in 2017.) The remnants from this collection were turned into head wraps where 100% of sales were donated to WIRES Wildlife Rescue Bushfire Emergency Fund to help with the recovery of the current bushfire victims.
In 2017 they developed a water soluble hygiene liner to replace the plastic ones used on the market!
Shapes in the Sand signed the Global Commitment in 2019 to help end single use plastic packaging at the source.
